Varying lengths of vertically hung LED tube fixtures formed the centerpiece of this REM stage design, creating a floating field of scattered color. Translucent plastic panels manufactured for use as industrial roofing were hung in a modified grid pattern, their corrugated honeycomb structure generatied dazzling effects by refracting an upstage layer of lights and strobes. Overseas the show design was enlarged to include video, custom programming made the non-standand aspect ratio of the giant screens workable. The winter leg of the tour featured a single 40ft length of LED screen hung above the stage, later in the year two 40ft high vertical strips framed the stage for large scale outdoor shows.
